CareMetx recently surveyed over 100 industry leaders to better understand their challenges, goals, and the evolving patient services landscape. Scott Genone, Chief Product Officer at CareMetx, discussed the results in Drug Channels, highlighting some key trends shaping 2025.
Nearly 80% of respondents emphasized the role of advanced technology like AI and machine learning in enhancing workflows, from benefit verification to prior authorization. These tools streamline administrative processes, reduce barriers to care, and ultimately speed up patient access to therapies. Additionally, the integration of patient services into provider workflows, such as through EMRs, is helping to alleviate administrative burdens, allowing healthcare professionals to focus more on patient care.
Personalization also emerged as a major trend, with 70% of respondents highlighting the importance of tailored support throughout the patient journey. Using advanced analytics, hubs are now able to offer customized solutions that address individual patient needs, such as overcoming health literacy or financial barriers. This combination of technology and human-centered support is essential to improving engagement and ensuring patients remain on therapy.
