-
Why was my prescription sent to CareMetx Pharmacy?
CareMetx Pharmacy is a closed-door pharmacy that specializes in dispensing free goods prescriptions, working directly with patient support programs to fill prescriptions at no cost for qualifying patients.
-
Why can't I use my local pharmacy to fill this prescription?
Local pharmacies provide excellent support for their communities. Because the CareMetx Pharmacy coordinates directly with manufacturers and patient assistance programs, we're set up specifically to administer these program-based prescriptions.
-
My medication needs to be refrigerated. Can you still ship it to me?
Yes. We ship thousands of refrigerated medications across the country every year, using coolers validated by an independent, ISTA-certified lab.
-
I won't be home to accept my delivery. Can you ship to an alternate address?
Yes, we can ship to an alternate address in many cases. There are some limitations depending on the situation; for example, shipping to another pharmacy may not be permitted, and if your medication is administered at your provider's office, we may be required to ship there instead.
-
How do I check the status of my prescription or delivery?

How long will it take for my medication to be delivered?
Deliveries are handled case by case and generally arrive within 1-2 business days.
-
I usually get a 90-day supply. Why did I only receive 30 days this time?
Some patient assistance programs only support 30-day supplies, depending on the manufacturer program a patient is enrolled in.
-
How do I reach a pharmacist with questions about my medication?
Our licensed pharmacists are available Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm ET, at 877-654-7812, with after-hours support for urgent issues at the same number.

-
What happens if there's a delay with my shipment?
Delivery delays are uncommon, but we plan for them. Our Pharmacy Care Coordinators review carrier delay communications every weekday, and if you notice a delay first, our team is available Monday through Friday, 8am to 8pm ET, to help troubleshoot, secure a new delivery date, and provide tracking information. Call 877-654-7812 and follow the prompts.
-
Can I pick up my prescription in person instead of having it shipped?
No. The CareMetx Pharmacy is a closed-door pharmacy. While we ship nationwide and to most U.S. territories, we don't dispense medication directly to patients on-site.
-
Will my medication be substituted?
Any substitution follows applicable state and federal law, and the specific patient assistance program you're enrolled in may have its own rules requiring or preventing substitution. If you have questions about your prescription, our licensed pharmacists are happy to talk it through with you, before or after you receive your medication.
-
Can I send other prescriptions here, or transfer all my prescriptions to CareMetx Pharmacy?
